GL (Green Lighting) unveils the new Kington Lantern: Where Sophisticated Design Meets Innovation
GL is delighted to announce the launch of the latest addition to its premium outdoor lighting range: the Kington (GL4471LU) Lantern. Part of the popular P-LUX series, the Kington is designed for modern residential and multi-unit developments, combining architectural styling with reliable smart features.
With its clean lines and understated elegance, the Kington Lantern makes a bold yet refined statement. The geometric, rectangular form is crafted from durable stainless steel, finished in a matte black that complements contemporary architectural styles. Clear side panels showcase the warm glow of the filament-style LED bulb inside, creating a balanced contrast between industrial minimalism and welcoming warmth. Designed to be seen as much as it is to illuminate, the Kington is as much a feature of the exterior aesthetic as it is a functional lighting solution.
Equipped with our P-LUX technology, the integrated Tri-Sensor system combines motion, light, and temperature sensing in a single unit. This gives users confidence that it can adapt to a range of outdoor environments, from shaded walkways to open driveways, without the need for additional accessories or manual calibration.
The Kington lantern features a built-in Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, which detects motion within its range and automatically activates the light. This enhances security, improves safety in low-light areas, and conserves energy by ensuring the light is only in use when needed. Ideal for entrances, paths, and communal outdoor spaces, PIR activation reduces unnecessary power consumption without sacrificing visibility.
“The Kington ticks all the right boxes for developers; it’s stylish, energy-efficient, and simple to install,” said Anthony Ottway, Managing Director at GL. “It’s clean, contemporary design makes it perfect for both individual homes and larger developments seeking a consistent, high-quality lighting solution.”
The Kington is now available directly from GL, our website, and through selected wholesalers. It will also be featured prominently in the upcoming showroom expansion, within the E-home demonstration space, where housebuilders, contractors and wholesalers can book training sessions to gain hands-on experience with the product and explore its full feature set.
