Downlights

Modern downlights are designed to be reliable, low maintenance, and easy to replace. But like any electrical product, issues can happen over time.

The good news? Most problems are straightforward to identify and often just as easy to fix.

ECO800

  • If your downlight is gradually getting dimmer, or has stopped working altogether:

πŸ‘‰ It’s likely reaching the end of its lifespan

Unlike traditional bulbs, LED fittings tend to fade over time rather than fail instantly.

  • What this means for you

βˆ™ This is a normal part of the product lifecycle
βˆ™ The fitting will usually need replacing rather than repairing

    The good news:

Our downlights are designed for quick, simple replacement

  • What to do next

βˆ™ Check if the fitting is still within its warranty period
βˆ™ If it is, it can usually be replaced directly – please contact our team.
    βˆ™ If not, a like-for-like ECO800 is our recommendation

  • How do I know if my product is under warranty?

Your ECO800 is genuinely under warranty if it is within 2 years of purchase or the handover date of your property.

    Any issues or not sure?

  • I cant provide my purchase or handover date to prove my warranty!

If you don’t know either of the above, the batch number can be used to prove your warranty.

To locate your batch number – look on the downlights driver.

PRO800/PRO1300

  • My downlight has stopped working

If your light has stopped working completely, the most common cause is:

πŸ‘‰ A fault with the driver (the component that powers the light)

    Why this happens?

The driver controls the power going to the LED. Over time, it can fail before the light itself.

  • What to do next.

    βˆ™ Replace the driver
βˆ™ Make sure you choose the correct type (for example, dimmable or non-dimmable)

In many cases, this will resolve the issue without needing to replace the full fitting.

  • I've replaced the driver, and it hasn't fixed the issue.

If replacing the driver doesn’t fix the issue:

βˆ™ The downlight itself may be faulty
βˆ™ Or it may have reached the end of its life

At that point, replacing the full unit is usually the best option.

  • How do i know if my product is still under warranty?

Both your PRO800 and PRO1300 are usually under warranty if it is within 2 years of purchase or the handover date of your property.

ECO450

  • My ECO450 downlight is not working

If your fitting uses a replaceable GU10 bulb and it stops working:

πŸ‘‰ The lamp has simply failed over time

  • What this means

βˆ™ This is expected with standard bulbs
βˆ™ It doesn’t indicate a fault with the fitting itself

  • What do I do now?

βˆ™ Replace the bulb with a new GU10
βˆ™ No need to change the full downlight
